The semi-monthly meeting of Sedona Professionals was presided over by President Dr. Jenna Blasi.
It was held at Red’s Restaurant in the Sedona Rouge resort, as it is the first and third Wednesday of each month.
Our first presenter was State Farm Agent Karen Reinhold. Karen’s career has spanned three decades so far. She pointed out common misconceptions regarding auto insurance, and how coverage can be added or greatly increased for very little premium. She emphasized reviewing annually to be sure life insurance policies are performing properly, beneficiaries are as needed, and adjusting if necessary to be sure there are happy results at claim time. She spoke about the importance of having a relationship with your agent, who will be your liaison and walk you through difficult times. Karen sees her job as educator and problem solver, and treats her clients like family.
Next, Susan Henkels of Relationship Repair did her personal presentation. She shared how her dad having a stroke when she was 4 years old shaped her life, and eventually her career choice. She learned at that tender age how to keep her mouth shut and keep herself safe. Susan believes we should come into life with “one big do-over”. She has sons in L.A. and San Francisco, and says the one deciding moment of her life was meeting her husband, Eric. A health issue last year truly opened her heart to living life fully. Susan says the two most important days of one’s life are the day we are born and the day we figure out why we are here.
Jon Kerchner of Landscape Magic was our next speaker. Jon and his crew have a vast knowledge of all things related to landscape design and building, including drip systems, patios, pavers, fire pits, stucco walls and outdoor barbeques. They do both residential and commercial installations with the highest degree of integrity and professionalism. Jon will advise clients on the best type of plants to install and how to take care of them. He and his crew also install synthetic turf as well as low voltage lighting that is dark sky compliant. As one of his crew often says, “You’ve got to put love into what you’re doing”, and it is evident in working with Jon and Landscape Magic.
At the end of our meeting, we voted unanimously to approve our newest member, Hank Yuloff of Promotionally Minded. Welcome Hank! We look forward to working with you.
