Sedona Professionals, a business networking and referral group which aims to expand and support local businesses, met on Wednesday, December 2nd, at Red’s Restaurant in the Sedona Rouge Resort.  The semi-monthly breakfast meeting was presided over by President Jenna Blasi, a naturopathic doctor.

Corrie Cooperman of Sedona Intuitive Astrology, gave the first professional presentation of the morning.  Corrie has been a professional astrologer for 23 years and talked about one of her favorite subjects: compatibility and relationship astrology.  Many couples reach out for a relationship reading to enhance their understanding of each other.  Or, occasionally,  to decide whether their relationship is worth continuing.  The twelve astrological signs are divided into four elements. According to Corrie, the elements of air and fire are compatible in astrology, just as the elements of earth and water are compatible to each other.  From her experience Corrie says that in business relationships it is very helpful for business owners to have compatible Sun signs because the Sun sign represents the outer personality and career interests.  But in romantic relationships it is most helpful to have the Moon signs be compatible because the Moon sign represents one’s emotional style and emotional needs.  Regardless though, Corrie emphasized that a nice dose of emotional maturity, mutual respect, and dedication to the relationship can overcome any astrological incompatibility!

Jesse Martin,  of Green Window Cleaning, gave an inspiring presentation about how he approaches his window cleaning business.  Jesse has a strong dedication to renewable resources which was evident in his presentation.  Instead of using a gas-guzzling, large truck to carrying all his supplies, Jesses stores his supplies in a low riding trailer that can be towed by his personal automobile to each location.  Jesse also uses only eco friendly cleaning supplies which he feels perform even better than the standard glass cleaning choices.  But most of all everyone was touched by the care Jesse brings to his work, to make sure that there is no negative effect to his customers homes while he is cleaning their windows.  He wears booties while inside a home (made by his mom) to keep the floor clean.  His ladder tops have pads on them so they do not mare the exterior of a home.  Jesse also prides himself in his ability to remove scratches from windows left during construction.  But most of all we were impressed with the care Jesse exhibits in the training of his employees, to make sure they respect the owner’s home while working there, too.
